Unlike other products designed to help tone these areas, this belt is designed to do all the work so you do not have to spend time performing strenuous exercises. The tightening of the muscles is achieved through the means of electronic stimulation. The belt actually engages the muscles the same way exercising does, but without the stress and time needed to perform them.

One advantage to using the Ab Flex Belt is the ability to wear it any time during the day or night. The product comes with a rechargeable battery so you also save money on the cost of purchasing replacement batteries.

The product is designed with multiple levels of intensity to accommodate the degree of workout a person would like to have. This device can be used by both men and women and has been cleared by the FDA. With adjustable levels and ten built-in workouts, this product can help anyone achieve sculpted abs.

Microdermabrasion is one treatment that uses a device that injects rough, small particles at the skin in order to get rid of the top layers and is a great way how to get rid of stretch marks. Stretch marks will be greatly improved as the new skin grows and with repeated treatments, this method can allow the body to fully repair the skins elasticity. Manually exfoliating the skin that has stretch marks can notably diminish their appearance by removing the dead skin cells. There are many homemade exfoliating treatments, as well as pre-prepared treatments, that are effective.

Chemical peels can also be effective at removing the appearance of stretch marks. This procedure should only be performed by a qualified medical professional because it uses acids to discard of the top layer of skin. a surface peel of ephenic or carbolic acid is most effective for stretch marks because of the deep perforation into the skin. Anesthesia is typically used in these procedures because they can be painful.

To better understand this prolific condition, let’s first acquaint ourselves with the three basic kinds of infections your nails are susceptible to:

Dermatophyte Infections:
Dermatophytes are microscopic fungi which infect your hair, skin, and nails. These little critters are notorious for their feeding habits, as their primary source of food is keratin- based tissue, of which your nails are an abundant source.

Dermatophytes are the most common cause of nail fungal infections, and are also responsible for a number of other conditions like the ‘jock itch’, and athlete’s foot. Dermatophyte infections are very contagious, given that an afflicted person will continually shed tiny fragments of infected skin. Hence, you are at a high risk of contracting this infection if you tend to walk barefoot in damp public places like swimming pools, saunas, cloakrooms, dance halls, and theater stages… to name a few.

Yeast Infections:
Yeast or Candida Infections are most common in people whose nails are over-exposed to moisture, and are attributed a handsome 8% of all nail fungus cases. Individuals prone to yeast infections are often involved in industries which require them to wash their hands very often, like the heath care and food and catering industries. Candida is also responsible for a number of other infections like diaper rash and oral thrush.

Moulds:
Mould-influenced nail infections most commonly afflict toenails, as these variants of microscopic fungi are most likely to sneak under your nails when you walk barefoot on earth.

While these three kinds of fungal infections have their own ways of finding their way into their cubby hole between your nail bed, and nail plate, there are certain other Risk Factors that augment your changes of contracting nail fungus. These include:

Heredity:
Recent research seems to indicate that fungal nail infections are more common in those who are genetically predisposed; however, the medical fraternity is still largely divided about how significant a role your genes have to play in how susceptible you are.

A Suppressed Immune System:
Your body is most prone to developing fungal infections when your immune system is compromised, or not functioning at its optimal level. The reasons for this diminished immunity can be many; some of the most common factors include: Immunosuppressive diseases like AIDS, Diabetes, and Cushing’s Syndrome Medication or immunosuppressive treatments like chemotherapy

Ill-fitting footwear:
Poorly fitting shoes can cramp your feet too tight, cutting off circulation of blood to the extremities, while the inadequate ventilation produces warm, stuffy conditions within your footwear – both are ideal breeding grounds for nail fungi. Athletes are invariably a lot more likely to contract nail fungus, as their routine often involves long hours of wearing poorly aired, sweaty socks, and footwear.

If you aren’t accustomed to airing your shoes after you wear them, or don’t change your socks too often, the perspiration in them creates welcome grounds for nail fungal growth, which then infest your feet as soon as you slip on the infected footwear. Over time, stuffing your feet into shoes that don’t let them ‘breathe’, can even lead to irregularities, cuts, calluses, and blood clots in your feet, which in effectively double your chances of contracting fungal nail infections.

Public Showers:
The heat, and humidity in public shower stalls, bathrooms, and locker rooms are again, cozy hideouts for nail fungi. Further, most people tend to walk barefoot in these places, whereupon the fungi escape to warm puddles of water on the floor, waiting for your unsuspecting feet to step right into them.

Your Lifestyle:
If your work, or personal habits, leads you to wearing closed shoes for prolonged periods, you are at a considerable risk of falling prey to nail fungi. This risk is especially exacerbated if you perspire heavily, as a lot of your perspiration builds up in your footwear, increasing the chances of fungal infestation.

On the other hand, walking barefoot in places like parks, gardens, or forest land, heighten your chances of developing mould infections.

Professionals in the healthcare and catering industry may also be at an increased risk of fungal nail infections, as their frequent contact with food, and water, make their susceptible to contracting hand mycosis infections.

Nail Polish and Acrylic Nails:
Given the unsightly nature of fungal nail infections, the first and most common reaction to signs of fungal growth, is to try and conceal it with nail polish, or artificial plastic or acrylic nails. Unfortunately, even though you may think that you are doing a remarkably good job of not letting the infection show, you are in fact helping it thrive and flourish!

Nail polish, artificial nails, or any kind of nail treatment that coats your nails, fortifies the moisture barrier, trapping in the damp, the warmth, and even the fungi. Even if your fingers and toes are infection-free, suffocating your nails by continually plastering them with layers or color, or stuffy acrylic nails can remarkably increase your chances of developing fungal nail infection.

Blood Glucose-Related Illnesses:
Conditions like diabetes, or hyperglycemia, where the glucose levels in your blood stream rise to unhealthily high levels, increase your susceptibility to fungal infections, as the sugar in your blood nourishes the wayward fungi and encourages their growth. Diabetes deserves special mention here, as the poor circulation and high levels of blood glucose that diabetics are prone to, make them easy prey to fungal infection.

Age:
Statistics reveal than fungal nail infections are more common amongst the elderly, and that your susceptibility to them increases as you grow older. This is because your nail growth slows down with age, as does the circulation of blood in your body, and your immunity. Nail Fungal Infections are most predominant in people over the age of 60, especially when accompanied by diabetes, or circulation problems.

Beauty Salons:
While most salons maintain meticulous hygiene standards, there are also those that neglect to sterilize their equipment after every use. In such instances, if the previous client has fungal nail infection, using the same emery board, or clippers, may spread the infection to you.

Injuries to your hands, feet and nails:
Any injuries to your toes and fingers, especially the area around the nails, are possible inlets through which fungi can slink into your body. Toenail damage is especially attributed to poorly fitting shoes which, while inflicting your feet with blisters and abrasions, hence creating surreptitious doorways through which the fungi find their way to your nails.

You sign up for a fee and get support online and receive pre-packaged meals, both shelf-stable and frozen. The Jenny Craig cost of program is not easy to figure out without submitting your contact information to be called by a consultant.

There are often different promotions offering varying membership prices but plan on paying at least $20.00, depending on the offer and the amount of weight you need/want to lose. The real expense comes from the food. Meals for 2012 vary depending on type but begin at around $2.50 a piece for breakfasts and snacks and can go as high as $8.00 for an average frozen dinner.

The pre-packaged food alone is reported to cost most beginning users of Jenny Craig upwards of $500.00 a month, which is fairly high considering that you are also meant to supplement your own produce. There are also snack bars and vitamins that can be purchased at additional costs. For some, the convenience of having your meals prepared and portioned for them, will be worth the cost.

Learning how to cope with stress at work is very important and once you’ve successfully managed your stress at work, you’ll be much more happy at your job. Being stress-free at work is one of the best ways to do your job to its full capacity.

Some of these potential sources of stress include:

Role conflict

Role ambiguity

Working relations

Overload

Control (or lack of it)

Feedback (or lack of it)

Support from colleagues (or lack of it)Uncertainty over job future

This list does not include stressors outside of the workplace that can also affect your performance. These may, for example, be family demands which place particular strain on dual career or single-parent households. Marital problems, caring for elderly parents, health issues affecting a family member and concerns over children can all affect us at work. There are, in addition, sources of workplace stress that should never be tolerated. These are sexual harassment, unsafe working conditions and violence in the workplace. These three sources of workplace stress need to be taken extremely seriously and addressed at managerial level.

Generally speaking, workplace stress arises in four main areas:

Lack of control over your work or working environment

Uncertainty over work-related issues

A prevailing dysfunctional conflict

The general demands of work or specific tasks

It is important to address each of these areas when attempting to reduce stress in the workplace. Managers and employees need to work together to develop effective stress management policies and programs. Stress at work does not just come from the individual stressors listed earlier but can be a direct result of job demands such as a heavy workload and long hours. If these job demands result in too high a level of stress than they need to be adapted on all levels, including policies and procedures, as well as on the part of the worker.

Company climate sets the tone for the amount of stress experienced in the workplace. If the working environment is one where personal needs and feelings are considered, the potential amount of stress will be decreased. If, however, the working atmosphere is one where people distrust one another and indulge in gossip and back-biting then correlating stress will be increased. Another source of stress in the workplace is uncertainty over, for example, job security, changes in management or changes in working practices.

A lack of clear direction in the workplace also places a great deal of stress upon workers. Effective guidance, on the other hand, reduces costly errors which may, in fact, occur as a result of stress caused by ambiguity. The more critical the task, the greater the need to communicate it directly and clearly to those involved in its execution. Clear communication improves individual and group performance and greatly decreases workplace stress.

As stress in the workplace impacts not only individual workers but the performance of the company or organization as a whole, it makes sense to learn how to address it so that it is managed and eliminated where possible. Learning how to deal with stress at work is vital for our health, wealth and wellbeing, whether we are employers or employees. Follow the guidelines in this article and you will be well on the way to achieving the ideal of a working life free from unnecessary, unproductive stress.

If there is one word that can immediately strike fear and panic in any person its cancer. With most men the scare is prostate cancer, and for decades, the initial diagnosis has been a yearly anal exam and a PSA test. The anal exam is still a good thing, but the PSA testing has been found to be froth with miscalculations and errors leading to a biopsy, radiation, and unnecessary surgery.

Today, an alternative prostate health strategy is “active surveillance.” A proper diet and eating habits that includes omega-3 fats found in fish, and avoiding unhealthy fats is a good start. Also, the spice Turmeric when combined with cauliflower has been shown to prevent prostate cancer and stop the growth of existing cancer cells. To keep your prostate healthy, include plenty of fruits and vegetables, and avoid foods that absorb toxins from the environment. In a recent medical study it was found that most men between age 50 and 70 have the presence of cancerous prostate cells, and most will die with it, not because of it.

Take ten or fifteen minutes once a month to perform three simple self-checks.

1. According to the Testicular Cancer Resource Center, men over the age of 14 might benefit from checking their testicles once a month. The ideal time to do it is right after a bath or shower, as the heat relaxes the scrotum and makes the exam easier to perform.

To begin, stand in front of a mirror and check the skin of the scrotum for bumps or swelling.

Check each testicle with both hands by manipulating it slowly between the thumbs and fingers. Feel every side of the testicle, looking for lumps or swelling. If you feel pain or something abnormal, call the doctor. Having one testicle slightly larger than the other, or one hanging down slightly lower than the other, is normal.

The first few times you do the exam, you want to focus on getting to know what is normal for you: how the scrotal skin folds, how each testicle feels, and the location of the epididymis, the tube-like structure at the back of the testicle that carries sperm. While lumps on either side of the testicle may possibly be cancerous, those on the epididymis are not.

Do not delay calling your doctor if you feel a lump, as testicular cancer will spread if not treated. Other signs of cancer may include sudden enlargement of a testicle, a heavy feeling in the scrotum, or pain in the scrotum.

2. The Skin Cancer Foundation suggests that everyone should do monthly full-body self-examinations, as skin cancer is treatable if detected early. Regular checks will help you determine what is normal for you, so if anything changes, youíll know right away. You are looking for anything that looks odd, such as sores, moles, and bumps.

Have as many mirrors as you need nearby, and for even better results, ask someone to help you. To begin the self-exam, carefully look at the skin on your face and neck. Pay special attention to folds, such as those in and around your ears and nose. Take a blow dryer and part the hair all around your head, so you can look at your scalp.

Work your way around your body, from your shoulders to your feet. Always look under any skin folds or recessed areas, such as your underarms, your genitals, and inside your belly button. Turn around and use mirrors to check the back of your body. Donít forget the bottom of your feet.

3. Especially if you smoke or chew tobacco, a monthly oral check will alert you to any possible gum or tongue problems. An oral self-exam takes only a few minutes, and youíll want to use a small round dental mirror. Examine every inch of your mouth for any sores, bumps, crusty areas, or red or white patches.

If you find anything suspicious or have a spot anywhere in your mouth (such as a burn from eating hot food) that takes longer than two weeks to heal, see your dentist. Other signals that you may have oral problems include ear pain, a change in the way your teeth align when you bite down, or unexplained jaw swelling.

No matter which exams you do, if you find anything you have a question about, call your doctor. Delaying treatment or waiting for problems to go away makes the situation worse. The sooner youíre treated, the sooner you can get on with your life.
